Theatre Workshop of
Owensboro kicks off its theatre season with the sidesplitting hilarious
presentation of Michael Coomey’s Cash on
Delivery. Their rendition will have you “in stitches for a better part of
the show. Come ready to be entertained,” says assistant director, Lauren
Mayhew. Without giving too much away,
the basic storylines revolves around Eric Swan (portrayed by TWO veteran, Ryan
Henry) who has been defrauding welfare authorities by creating several fake
identities in order to claim their benefits. All the lies are finally catching
up to him and he decides to end things by “killing off” his characters.
Naturally, issues arise and a “variety of characters emerge” to create “an
avalanche of problems.”
Directed by TWO
veteran, Todd Reynolds, this entertaining Farce takes the stage on Fridays:
August 28th, September 4th, and 11th at 7:30 p.m.;
Saturdays: August 29th, September 5th and 12th
also at 7:30 pm; and a Sunday matinee performance on September 6th
at 2pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Season tickets are
also on sale – first time buyers can get five shows for $50, while regular
season ticket holders can purchase this great deal for $66. For ticket information and reservations,
please call TWO box office at (270) 683-5353, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
In addition, TWO will
be adding a Dinner Theatre presentation of each main stage show to this year’s
season. For a mere $10 extra, you can enjoy a delicious buffet dinner along
side a fabulous show! On August 27th, you can be one of the first to
enjoy this new experience. Also, TWO has just hired a new Executive Director,
Stephan Coppick. We look forward to seeing what new ideas Mr. Coppick will
bring to the stage of Theatre Workshop of Owensboro! Check out www.theatreworkshop.org
for a list of all upcoming shows in their 20
09-2010 theatre season.
