Downtown Walking Tour

May 2 begins at 10 AM in the Community Room at the New Depot.

Highlights the exhibits in the Henderson Depot Community Room as well as historical homes and buildings in Henderson's Downtown area. Approximate time: one hour. For parties larger than 15, please call ahead. Tour will be held as weather permits. Cost: FREE.

Breck's Bicycle Shop Weekly Community Bike Rides

Starting at Want to ride your bike and enjoy some camaraderie this spring? Looking for a free, family-friendly event? Then join the Monday Night ride in Henderson. Riders pedal off from Central Park (adjacent to the courthouse and city building). This is a free community ride with a no-drop rule. The ride is open to all ages and all skill levels. Helmets are mandatory.

Ohio Valley Birding Festival

May 1-3

Various locations throughout the tri-state area, including John James Audubon State Park. Join birders and educators from throughout the region at the Tri-State Bird Festival. Learn about birds, birding, and bird habitat from some of the best birders in the field. Seminars, workshops, hikes and crafts will be available for all ages and all levels of interest. This festival is sponsored by Audubon State Park, Wesselman Nature Society, Evansville Audubon Society, and Evansville Wild Birds Unlimited.

Homegrown Bluegrass and Creative Arts Festival

Enjoy two days of pickin' and jammin.' Local bluegrass bands will host this annual festival that is fun for all ages. A favorite is the open mic and pickin' opportunities, so bring your instrument! On Saturday the 16th, you can also enjoy the Creative Arts and Crafts Festival, as artists and vendors fill the gardens of the museum with booths selling and exhibiting their works of arts and crafts. Come enjoy the food, music, and children's programs throughout the day. Admission: $3 per car.
